2025 Give BIG for IB!

Hello Caver families and supporters!

It's time for the "Give Big for IB" fundraiser. This year we have a fundraising goal of $15,000! Your support will ensure the continuity of the San Diego High School International Baccalaureate (IB) program by paying for required training for our IB teachers. The funds will also be used for academic support (textbooks and lab supplies) and to enable unique IB activities (student celebrations and graduation regalia). 

Did you know:

• SDHS is an award-winning International Baccalaureate (IB) World School

• 1 out of 3 Juniors and Seniors are taking at least one IB class

• Parent and community support is essential to ensure these classes continue to be available

What our parent/community support funded in 2023-2024:

•     $15,258 - Required Training Courses for SDHS IB History, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Teachers

•     $10,517 - Student Textbooks for Math and Biology

•     $1,296 - IB workshops for teachers - project support and improving engagement.

•     $306 - Student appreciation/celebration.

This one-day online fundraiser will take place on Thursday, March 6th.  Please consider donating to supplement the limited funding for the IB curriculum received from the San Diego Unified School District. Any amount is appreciated, and corporate matching can make your donation even more impactful.  Please help us spread the word to friends and family members who may also be interested in supporting this essential fundraising campaign.

You can make a donation on this page, or checks can be made out to "SDHS Parent Connect Foundation" and sent to SDHS Parent Connect Foundation, c/o San Diego High School, 1405 Park Blvd, San Diego, CA 92101. Checks and cash donations can also be handed into the school office or the SDHS Advanced Studies office. 

The SDHS Parent Connect Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supporting IB students, teachers and San Diego High School programs. All donations are tax-deductible. Parent Connect, SDHS teachers and most importantly, our IB students thank you in advance for your consideration and generosity!!

2020 Give BIG for IB!

Our first online fundraiser Give BIG for IB! took place in Fall 2020 and was our most successful fundraiser to date.

Your support for the San Diego High School IB program was overwhelming this Fall of 2020! We started out with humble expectations, but our Caver learning community came together and crushed our goals not once or twice but three times! We had over 135 donors contribute an amazing $24,200, which allowed us to fund all of our requests to support teachers and students during the 2020-21 school year.
